A true visionary, James Croxton, founded Del-Ray Construction in 1995. Mr. Croxton formed Del-Ray with the belief that every customer would receive "quality" in the product and services they receive, being fair in the company’s pricing policy ensuring that they always receive their money’s worth, and that every customer from the smallest job to the largest should be treated the same way. Del-Ray Construction has been providing high quality interior/exterior construction and remodel services in the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula and surrounding area.
Family has always played an important role in the company. Mr. Croxton made sure that his sons knew how to swing a hammer. As young men they received on the job training from one of the best! His youngest son, Lee, left the company for a short time while he enlisted and served for several years in the United States Marine Corp. Old habits never die, and when Lee returned from his tour, he stepped right back into his role with his father working for the company.
Mr. Croxton will be stepping down as CEO (although he can never stay completely away from his passion, you just might see him visiting a job site) and his youngest son Lee will be stepping into his father’s shoes. It is said Lee has been born with a hammer in his hand. He has a natural talent for this line of work and has proudly taken on the tradition of Del-Ray Construction. He has worked endlessly to bring Del-Ray Construction into the 21st century. The family tradition carries on as Lee strives to continue his fathers legacy of quality in the construction industry.
